Votings

The Votings feature gives you the opportunity to get direct and specific feedback from your fans on topics you would like to know their opinion on or include them in decision-making. Find an overview of the Voting feature here.

Voting Types

For each voting that you create on Unyfy you can decide which voting mode to use. You can choose the voting type from the settings panel when creating a voting.

Voting Type Selection

  • Tokenless Voting: each registered user has exactly one vote, tokens are not used
  • Tokenbased Variable Voting: each user can use a variable amount of tokens, it is possible to vote multiple times. You can set a lower and upper boundary for how many tokens can be used.
  • Tokenbased Fixed Voting: user have to use a specified amount of tokens to vote. The operator specifies how many tokens users will use.

Create a new Voting

Duplicate repeating votings

Now you can easily duplicate votings. If you do repeated votings similar to one another, e.g., a Man of the Match voting after every game, you can go to a previously created poll in UPM and click the Duplicate option. This will create a new voting in Draft status as an exact copy of the initial voting.

  1. Click Participation in the left sidebar and Votings in the drop-down menu that appears.
  2. Click on Create Voting, enter the title and content of your voting in all languages your platform supports and add any media (images, videos, audio files). You can add a hero medium for each language individually. If you only upload a single hero medium, it will be used across all languages.
  3. Provide the voting options for the users. If the voting supports multiple languages you need to specify the options in each language.
  4. In the Settings panel, select the voting type.
  5. Enter the date and time where the voting should end in the Ends at field on the right
  6. Under Options you can add the voting options in all languages your platform supports.
  7. Then click on Save.
  8. Once you want to publish the voting, click Publish in the top-right corner.
caution

Once a voting period has started you cannot edit the end date of the voting anymore.

Multiple Options Voting

If you select the Voting Type: Vote without Tokens, you can allow users to select multiple options. When this option is used, you can define a minimum and maximum amount of options a user needs to select to submit their vote.

Add a Sponsor to a Voting

You can add a sponsor to most resources, including votings. The sponsor statistics make monitoring your branded content's performance convenient for you and your partners.

Pin-to-Top

You can pin a new or already published resource to the top of the home feed by turning on the Pin to top toggle in the contents settings. The content will stay pinned until you pin another content to the top or disable the Pin to top toggle again.

tip

If you enable the Pin to top toggle for a content that is currently scheduled or in draft status it will be pinned as soon as it is published.

Add a Content Category

Optionally, assign a content category to your voting, making it easier for your users to find related content and navigate your platform effortlessly.

Set a Publishing Date

When the Published At field is left empty, the content will go live as soon as you click publish. If you want to schedule your content for some time in the future you can use the Published At field to select a date and time when it should go live.

Pay Attention

After you save the draft you still need to click Schedule for the voting to go live at the scheduled date and time.
